A Surplus of Books...
We get a lot of books in. More than we can sell, usually. Some of these are near-mint while others only have a few adventures left. Our space is limited, but our goals of increasing community access and giving books the longest life they can are closely aligned.
When we take something we can't sell due to condition or our own surplus stock, we do our best to donate it to local second-hand stores, non-profit organizations, or (our favorite) little libraries!
Examples of book conditions we can't sell, but may donate include...
- Excessive highlights/writing
- Hardcovers missing dust jackets
- Paperbacks with torn or missing covers
- A slightly-dented version of a book we currently have ten copies of
