New Titles - Hot off the press!

Village Books of Southern Oregon is excited to announce that we’re expanding our selection to incorporate more brand-new books.
Why? Popular titles are often hoarded as “Shelf Trophies” which limits our ability to stay stocked with the quality content you crave. No judgement - we are one of you. By making space for our hand-selected titles we can better inflict our obsessions upon you offer quality recommendations with the stock to back them up. But wait - we want it back!To encourage the return of these items into our circulation, we’re offering up to 25% of cover value back in trade credit when returned with proof of purchase, dependent on item condition. We hope this will offset some of the cost for initial purchasers, and increase our availability of cheaper used titles. Yes, there’s a caveat. This inventory was purchased brand new directly from the publisher. It is likely we paid between 50-70% of the cover cost to acquire it. Meanwhile, we aim to maintain our new inventory pricing scheme at 75% of total cover cost. Because of this, trade credit may not be applied toward the purchase of these titles.
Thank you for your understanding and continued support of our cult Village!

More Shelves!

Through some combination of dedication and blood magic, we have found a way to cram in even MORE shelves without compromising isle space! We actually made a few corners wider, too. We're focusing this space toward the growth of multiple nonfiction topics. A handful of our science and self-help sections are being split, organized, and given space to expand. - Philosophy has been given its own shelf in the blue corner. - Psychology, social science, anthropology, and general sciences been moved within yellow and given space to expand. - Our Pacific Northwest history/geography section now proceeds into general geography, geology, and archaeology. - Self-Help family planning, relationships, abuse, addiction, and grief have been moved and combined within yellow. - Self-Help inspirational is being split and combined with inspirational memoirs/biographies. Meanwhile, behind the curtains... Our focus going into 2026 is acquiring a building for the business. More details will be published as things come to fruition. Right now we're finding funding! Do you know of any? 👀 Drop us a note, Village!

Requesting Reviews...

Nothing makes us happier than when a customer loves our book recommendation... But we can only read so much! We're asking YOU to give us a hand by sharing your thoughts, feels, and/or the final bill from all that therapy you endured as the result of an [inconsiderate] authors poor decisions. This is especially convenient when you're trading in a copy of that very book for in-store credit... 😉 Haven't heard of our trade credit program? Learn more here!
